  • 2 tablespoons (28 grams) butter
  • 1 cup (250 milliliters) chopped onion
  • 1/2 pound (250 grams) ground beef
  • 1/2 pound (250 grams) ground pork
  • 1/2 pound (250 grams) fresh chorizo sausage , casings removed and sausage crumbled
  • 1 large red apple , cored and chopped
  • 1/2 cup (125 milliliters) chopped toasted almonds
  • 1/2 cup (125 milliliter) raisins
  • 1/4 cup (60 milliliters) plain bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon (5 milliliters) salt
  • 1 teaspoon (5 milliliters) Cumin, Ground
  • 1 teaspoon (5 milliliters) Oregano Leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2 milliliters) Pepper Black Ground
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 milliliters) Cloves, Ground

Preparation

  • 1 Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C) Melt butter in large skillet on medium heat. Add onion; cook and stir 3 minutes or until softened. Add meats; cook and stir 7 minutes or until browned. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Reduce heat to low; cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 2 Spoon into lightly greased 13x9-inch (33x23-cm) baking dish. Cover with foil.
  • 3 Bake 20 minutes or until heated through and lightly browned.
