- 1/2 cup (125 milliliters) dehydrated apple slices , coarsely crush
- 1/2 cup (1 stick/112 grams) unsalted butter , softened
- 1 teaspoon (5 milliliters) Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon (2 milliliters) Ground Nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 milliliters) Cardamom Ground
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 milliliters) Sea Salt Grinder
- 1/2 teaspoon (2 milliliters) sugar
Preparation
- 1 Working in batches as needed, place apples in food processor. Cover. Pulse until finely ground.
- 2 Melt butter in small skillet on medium-low heat. Cook, stirring constantly until butter is dark golden brown, about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in ground apples and remaining ingredients until well blended. Transfer to small bowl. Cool to room temperature.
- 3 Spoon butter onto plastic wrap. Roll into a log about 1-inch (2.5-cm) in diameter. Wrap tightly and refrigerate until firm. Refrigerate up to 1 week or freeze up to 1 month. Serve Apple Pie Brown Butter with toasted baguette, use as a spread for charcuterie boards, or to top pancakes or waffles.
