  • 2 tablespoon (30 mililiters) cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon (5 mililiters) Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon (5 mililiters) Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon (5 mililiters) Parsley Flakes
  • 1 teaspoon (5 mililiters) Sea Salt Grinder
  • 1/4 cup (60 mililiters) butter
  • 1 cup (250 mililiters) finely chopped onion
  • 1 cup (250 mililiters) Chicken Stock
  • 1 cup (250 mililiters) milk
  • 1 cup (250 mililiters) sour cream
  • 2 cups (500 mililiters) shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 4 cups (1 liter) shredded potatoes, fresh or frozen, thawed
  • 1 cup (250 mililiters) crushed corn flakes
  • 2 tablespoon (30 mililiters) melted butter

Preparation

  • 1 In saucepan over medium-high heat, add first 5 ingredients.
  • 2 Bring to a boil and simmer 5 minutes. Stir in butter until melted and cool.
  • 3 Towel dry fish and fold in half and place in baking dish.
  • 4 Pour sauce over fish and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 25-30 minutes.
  • 5 Tips: Serve Piri Piri Sauce with grilled or baked chicken, pork, beef or vegetables. Refrigerate any leftover sauce. Sauce recipe makes 2 cups (500 mL).
