This sticky rice is one of my favourite dishes and can be a great twist on a side dish for Thanksgiving meals. Though my mom makes it with dried shrimp, pork belly or Chinese sausage, I’ve kept it as vegetarian dish to appeal to more guests. I’ve added nuts for texture and creaminess and chestnuts as a nod to Thanksgiving. It’s essential to use long grain glutinous rice or you will not get the correct texture! It puts the “sticky” in sticky rice. A bamboo steamer works best but you can also use a vegetable steamer or colander to steam the rice. Recipe Credit: Pay Chen. Read More Read Less
