Usage Tips
Prepare chicken stew as per package directions. Serve in bowls with crusty bread or homemade biscuits.
ALL YOU NEED
- 2 cups (500 mL) water
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) vegetable oil
- 1½ lb (750 g) boneless, skinless chicken, cut into 1-in (2.5 cm) cubes
- 1 cup (250 mL) chopped onion
- 4 cups (1 L) cubed vegetables
- ½ cup (125 mL) frozen peas
ALL YOU DO
- COMBINE seasoning mix and water. Set aside.
- HEAT oil in large saucepan over medium-high heat. Brown chicken and onion in batches.
- RETURN chicken and onion to pan. Add vegetables, except peas, and stir in seasoning mix.
- BRING to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 40-50 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
- ADD peas, cook 10 minutes longer.
