Mustard Seed

The dried, whole seeds of the annual herb plant Brassica hirta Moench. Yellow mustard seed is a very small tan to brown seed that exhibits a sharp taste. One of the few spices that is grown in Canada.

Usage Tips

Club House Mustard Seed complements corned beef, pork, veal, fish, shrimp, crab, vegetables, baked beans, cheese, salad dressings, sauces, pickles and relish. Add 1 tbsp (15 mL ) to 3 lbs (1.5 kg ) corned or boiled beef. Use in bread and butter pickles and vegetable relishes. Add to sauerkraut, potato salad, coleslaw and boiled cabbage.
