  • 2 1/3 cups (575 milliliters) water
  • 1 tablespoon (14 grams) butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 milliliter) salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 milliliter) Organic Black Pepper Coarse Grind
  • 3/4 teaspoon (4 milliliters) Organic Thyme Leaves
  • 1 1/4 pounds (625 grams) thin carrots , trimmed and peeled

Preparation

  • 1 Place water, butter, salt and pepper in large skillet; bring to simmer on medium heat. Remove from heat. Add carrots, arranging in a single layer. Cover and let stand 10 minutes.
  • 2 Return to heat. Cook on high, uncovered, to return to simmer. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 20 to 25 minutes or until most of the water has evaporated and carrots are very tender.
  • 3 Add thyme leaves, tossing gently to mix. Cook, turning carrots often, until water has evaporated and carrots are glazed, about 5 minutes.
