  • 1/2 pound (250 gram) lean ground beef
  • 1 container (475 gram) ricotta cheese, divided
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon (7 miligram) Basil Leaves Sweet , divided
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon (7 miligram) Oregano Leaves , divided
  • 1 teaspoon (5 miligram) Organic Rosemary Crushed , divided
  • 250 grams ziti
  • 2 cans (398 mL each) tomato sauce
  • 2 cups (500 miligram) water
  • 2 cups (500 miligram) shredded mozzarella cheese

Preparation

  • 1 Preheat oven to 350°F (180°). Mix ground beef, 1/2 cup (125 mL) of the ricotta and 1/2 tsp (2 mL) each of the basil, oregano and rosemary in medium bowl. Shape into 12 meatballs. Place in 13x9-inch (33x23 cm) baking dish sprayed with no stick cooking spray.
  • 2 Bake 10 minutes. Remove from oven. Spread ziti evenly around meatballs.
  • 3 Mix sauce, water and remaining 1 tsp (5 mL) each basil and oregano, and 1/2 tsp (2 mL) rosemary in medium bowl. Pour evenly over pasta and meatballs. Dollop remaining ricotta over sauce. Sprinkle with mozzarella.
  • 4 Bake for another 45 to 50 minutes or until pasta is tender and cheese is golden brown.
