  • 1 loaf (450 grams) French bread or Italian bread
  • 1/2 cup (125 milliliters) butter , softened
  • 1 teaspoon (5 milliliters) Parsley Flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2 milliliters) Onion Powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon (0.5 milliliter) Thyme Leaves

Preparation

  • 1 Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut bread diagonally into 1-inch (2.5 cm) slices, without cutting through bottom of loaf. Place bread on sheet of foil large enough to enclose entire loaf.
  • 2 Mix butter and seasonings until well blended. Spread on both sides of bread slices. Wrap bread tightly in foil.
  • 3 Bake 10 minutes or until bread is heated through.
  • 4 Test Kitchen Tip:
    • Use olive oil in place of the butter. Brush seasoned oil on both sides of bread slices.
