  • 1/2 pound (250 gram) steak
  • 3 tablespoon (45 miligram) Montreal Steak Spice Wet Rub
  • 2 tablespoon (30 milliliter) olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, halved
  • 2 red peppers, halved
  • 1 package (25 gram) 25 less salt brown gravy mix (club house)
  • 1 cup (250 milliliter) water
  • 1/2 cup (125 milliliter) red wine
  • 1/2 cup (125 milliliter) whipping (35%) cream
  • 4 cups (1 liter) penne pasta, cooked and cooled
  • 1 tablespoon (15 milliliter) Montreal Steak Spice Seasoning

Preparation

  • 1 Brush steak with rub marinade; grill until internal temperature reaches at least 145°F (63°C). Set aside.
  • 2 Brush peppers and onion with oil and grill until tender.
  • 3 In a large saucepan, combine gravy mix, water, wine, cream and steak spice seasoning; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • 4 Cut steak, peppers and onions into ½-in (1 cm) slices and add to sauce.
  • 5 Add pasta; stir until heated through.
  • 6 Tip: Try using Club House Brown Gravy Mix with La Grille Montreal Steak Spice for more steak spice flavour!
  • 7 Tip: Combine steak and rub marinade in a plastic bag or glass dish. Cover, refrigerate and marinate for 30 minutes before grilling.
