  • Are all your products gluten-free?
    Yes! Every product we make is completely gluten-free. This includes our sauces, marinades and spice rubs. We are certified through www.gfco.org.
  • Are your products safe for people with nut allergies?
    Honey Pecan is the ONLY product made with nuts. Honey Pecan has both pecans (tree nuts) and peanuts. However, all of our products are made in facilities that process both tree nuts and peanuts, so we cannot guarantee that they are completely free from these allergens.
  • I have a bottle of Stubb’s and I can’t find/read the best by date. What is it?
    On a bottle of sauce or marinade, the best by date will be printed on the glass above the label. The date is printed as follows: the first two numbers are the month, the next two are the day and the next two are the year. The rest of the text is the lot information, which you should only need if you have a problem with a product and need to contact us about it. For example: BEST BY 112114D80 17:17 This is best by November 21, 2014.
  • Do any of your products contain alcohol?
    No. Any alcohol evaporates during the manufacturing process.

  • Do you accept ideas or suggestions, including for new products?

    Thank you for your interest in our products. As a practice, we do not accept ideas or suggestions relating to new products, flavours, packaging, marketing, or recipes as we have departments devoted to product and marketing innovation.   • How much of a product should I use when I’m cooking?
    This question varies depending on what you’re cooking and what product you’re using. Please check out Cooking Tips section to find answers for your dish. If you don’t find the information you’re looking for there, you may contact us using the contact form.
  • I had a comment, question, or problem with one of your products. How do I contact someone about this?

  • Where is Mr. Stubb now?
    Stubb passed away in 1995, but his friends have continued making barbecue sauces, marinades and rubs just like he would have wanted.

  • Are your products vegan?
    Every product except for Honey Pecan and our former Burger Rub is vegan.

  • What are ‘natural flavors” listed in the ingredients?
    The “natural flavors” used vary depending on the products. We use a variety of natural flavors, all of which are just that – natural. If you’re wondering about a specific ingredient, please contact us.
  • What are the spices in “Spices” listed in the ingredients?
    We use many spices in our products. If you’re wondering about a specific ingredient, please contact us.
  • How is Hickory Bourbon gluten free?
    Hickory Bourbon has been certified gluten free; the distillation process of the bourbon removes any gluten.

  • What is the shelf life of your Sauces?
    Our Bar-B-Q Sauces, Marinades and Anytime Sauces have a 3 year shelf life before opening.
  • How long do your products last after opening?
    We recommend you refrigerate and use our Sauces, Marinades and Anytime Sauces within 3 weeks after opening.
